You Should Know What Is In Your Food

Processed foods, also known as convenience food, which commercially prepared for ease of consumption. These products are sold frozen, heat and serve, or already warm and ready to be eaten. They call these foods convenience, well because they are just that. It’s a lot easier to go to the store to pick up a frozen meal in a bag, and heat it up. Rather than cooking a meal from scratch. Well that’s what it seems like. Of course it can be easier. I’m not disagreeing with that. But do you know how your food is prepared? What all the ingredients are in it? I’m going to say no. There are so many byproducts and chemicals put into prepackaged meals and food. The same goes for fast food places. Have you actually watched how your food is made? Most likely not. Because it comes already frozen and it just gets heated up before you get it. Did you really think your burger was cooked from a freshly made patty? Seriously. There’s a reason why it’s called fast food.
With all the crap we put in our bodies. No wonder there are so many diseases and allergies. Our bodies are not made to process all that crap! But companies have tricked us into thinking there is no other way to eat and we should consume their products.
What about foods that seem fresh. Like that ground beef in the meat department. Well if you like pink slime. Then go ahead and eat it. The meat industry calls it “lean finely textured beef” so you think you are getting a healthy deal. Well ABC ran a story on this meat, and called it like they saw it. Pink slime, a mixture of waste meat and fatty parts from higher-quality cuts of beef that have had the fat mechanically removed. Afterwards, it’s treated with ammonia gas to kill Salmonella and E. coli bacteria. Then it gets added to ground beef as a filler. Food microbiologists and meat producers insist that it’s safe. But it’s hard to get over all the added fillers and waste products. There has been word that some of these factories where the “meat” is produced are closing. Places like Kroger, McDonald’s, Safeway, Food Lion, and the National School Lunch Program have pulled their products. Shouldn’t that be a sign? So what can you do. Eat all organic and grass fed. You’ll also find that there are products that contain no antibiotics. Choose those too.
